The Manningtree Account novella is FREE to download from Amazon Kindle this whole weekend, Friday – Sunday! #welcometomanningtree
“…with beaks as deadly as blades, let them peck eyes from skulls, and tear flesh from bones.”
If it’s a shall I, shan’t I, will I, won’t I… and you’re still pondering whether to buy Daughters of the Oak, what better time to dip your toes and feel the darkness creep, than with a FREE ebook.
The Manningtree Account is the original root from which Daughters grew. It’s a stand-alone novella, but if you then fancy going a little deeper, digging further into the tale, you can purchase the extended, longer version, Daughters of the Oak.

Did you take advantage of the Free Kindle offer of The Manningtree Account?
Thank you to everyone who during the festive week pushed my dark novella up into the Top 10 of Historical Thrillers. Admittedly these rating only last a while, and in reality how important is a number?! The true importance is what the reader thinks! Have you read it yet? As a novella, it’s a quick read, perfect for a quiet Sunday afternoon…or night, in the dark!
Maybe you’re ready for Daughters of the Oak? It is NOT a follow-on or sequel but an extended more in-depth edition that digs deeper into the past, dredging up the personal history between witch and finder…and what about Alex! For a few pennies, no more than a cost of a Coffee, you can snuggle down with Daughters of the Oak, Kindle edition this afternoon. Or treat yourself to a stunning paperback book.
If you’re hankering for a different genre or supernatural romance is more your thing, Remember to Love Me could be a surprise gem… beautiful heartwarming moments scattered with plenty of heartaches, loss, betrayal, desperation and death.
If you’ve read any of my books, firstly thank you, and if you could write a few lines of an Amazon or Goodreads review would be more than awesome.

The Manningtree Account – FREE this weekend
Season’s Greetings to all, and as a little gift from me to you, The Manningtree Account novella is FREE to download from Amazon Kindle this weekend only – 23rd / 24th December!
“…with beaks as deadly as blades, let them peck eyes from skulls, and tear flesh from bones. They shalt do my bidding. We shalt listen and dance to their cries. I would spare them the cold this bleak night, their bodies warmer for the blanket of blood.”
This is the perfect teaser, a little witchy taster. If you’ve been pondering on whether or not to buy Daughters of the Oak, this is the ideal time to dip your toes and feel the darkness creep. The Manningtree Account is the original story on which Daughters was created. It’s a stand-alone novella, but if you then fancy digging a little deeper into the tale, you can purchase the extended edition Daughters of the Oak.
Enjoy! 😈
Review – My Year of Stories
Book Review – My Year of Stories by Abigail Shepherd
5 Sparkling Stars!
A fantastic collection of stories, all tied into a year of the author’s life. These are so very cleverly interspersed with diary entries and a little explanation of each. Along with details of publication, these all map the authors journey to becoming a published writer.
The stories themselves all have the authors distinct twist of the unexpected, sometimes light but sometimes a little unnerving… brilliantly written, even the shortest delivers a punch.
Uplifting, inspiring and empowering. We travel through the year with the author, proving that steadfast dedication and motivation, can really pay off.
This book, although a quick read, is a great credit to the writer and a great addition to any bookshelf. A must for any aspiring writer.

Spread some Christmas magic…
What’s on your Christmas list?
I can truly say what a wonderful year this has been. I’ve received so much support, friendship, book-love and fans for all my books, and I’m feeling incredibly blessed.
I’m not normally one to harp on about book reviews, but I thought, as it’s Christmas if anyone would like to bestow a few words in the form of a review, I would be forever grateful for the gift.
Book reviews really can be a lifeline for an Independent Author… we are in control of all our marketing and promotion. A simple book review can make the world of difference, after all, word of mouth recommendations are worth their weight in gold!
The past few months have been rather busy, and with the release of Daughters of the Oak, the Halloween period certainly sparked a rush! As we cosy ourselves in the enchantment of the festive season, Remember to Love Me has certainly been the book of choice.
So, if you would like to leave a few words, for any of my books, please do. You can leave a book review on Goodreads and wherever you purchase from – kindle, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Book Depository.
Thank you, Becky 😊
